Adding notes to text

One feature that I have sought in writing software is the ability to add comments or notes to text, like MS Word. Frequently, I write a sentence, and have editing ideas or thoughts on how I want to proceed, but do not want to implement at that moment. Comments tied to particular words or sentences would be a good way to deal with that.

Note taking on the level of Word is not on the short or medium term plan for PageFour. At the moment, you would need to create a separate page for any notes, positioned alongside your work, but this cannot be linked to a portion of text on any given page.

The next version of PageFour will have meta data associated with each page. This is expected to include a note or synopsis section editable by the user, though these notes will be associated directly with an entire page rather than any specific part of that page.
