No import button on import dialogue box

Hey--I'm already a moron and I haven't even gotten started yet....Trying to import a word document (vista). Your help screen shows an import button in the window on the left side of the import dialogue box. I don't have that import button showing....OK, what am I doing wrong? (already...) Thanks! Carole

You should see that button Carole. Can you see the entirety of the Import dialog, or is some of it hidden off screen?

The Import dialog was designed in such a way that you shouldn't be able to reduce the size of the dialog such that the button is hidden.

What size screen are you using, and do you have any unusual themes installed? Customized themes can, on occasion, cause problems with dialog sizes.

No problem seeing the entire box- I've pulled at the corners and played around with re-sizing assuming that it would show up, but no luck. I thought that maybe when the information was filled in correctly it would show up? No themes that I know of- this is my first shot at trying to bring in my 87 page document (.doc file). My computer screen is huge- 1680 x 1050 and my desktop background is a photo-any ideas on something I might try? re-installing maybe? I'm dieing to try this program!

Here's another thought. The import dialogue is divided into three sections. I can move the bar that separates the second and third section to resize them, the bar between the first and second section won't move- should I be able to re-size that first section also? Perhaps the import button is hidden behind that first section's divider? Could I change something that would allow that first divider to move?

I think I know what's causing the problem, Carole. I'm guessing you're using Large Fonts on your PC. This has a side effect on Vista (not XP), of 'adjusting' some dialog dimensions and positionings, which in this case seems to have pushed a few elements off the visible dialog.

From what I can see, this is the only dialog affected, and there is a work around. When you select a folder or a Word document to import, you can simply right click on the folder or document, and select the "Import Selected" option from the pop up menu.

This is the very same as using the Import button.
