Smart quotes option unchecked after shutting down

Every time I shut down my computer, the option to have smart quotes becomes unchecked when I start it up and open PageFour again, even though I ticked it before. I know that few people use smart quotes, but I do and this becomes pretty annoying after a while.

Which geographic keyboard layout are you using Wendy: US, UK, or another? And does the shortcut key combination work when switching smart quotes on and off? That's Ctrl+Shift+'

(control + shift + apostrophe. The apostrophe appears in different locations on different keyboards)

I'm not sure which keyboard layout I have...and I already know about the shortcut, I was just wondering if you could keep the smart quotes option saved after shutdown.

It should be saved Wendy. The reason I asked about the keyboard layout is because I've only had one other user report the same problem, and so far have been unable to duplicate it. The smart quote functionality is tied into the keyboard (strange, I know, but true).

Without being able to duplicate the problem, it's difficult to fix, so I've being trying to determine if there's any commonalities between your setup and that of the other user who reported the same problem.

Oh, right! Well, I've checked and I /think/ I have the US keyboard layout. Also, my laptop's by Dell, if that helps.

Thanks Wendy. It appears to be one of those bugs that only affect a few users. I'll let you know when it's been resolved.
