Footnotes?

Am I being dense, or is there, in fact, no footnote feature in PageFour? I hope I am being dense, as the lack of such a feature would severely limit the utility of the software for academic writing.

You're not being dense Sonny. PageFour doesn't handle footnotes at all. It was never meant for academic writing and also doesn't have any features to handle tables, graphs, images, etc.

Thanks, Darren. That's too bad. Many of the organizational features of PageFour seem pretty great for writing a long research paper or thesis. I could do without the tables, graphs, images, etc. -- I work in the Humanities -- but not, alas, without the footnotes.

Do you happen to know if there is any Windows software out there that is like PageFour but more suited to academic writing?

Thanks.

Though I might also add that in the wake of writers such as David Foster Wallace, the footnote has taken its place in more creative writing. The addition, then, of such a feature might be welcome, even for your mainly non-academic clientele.

How about using Endnotes on a separate page? But, yes, even a "creative" wordprocessing program should allow for footnotes.
